Pantomime
Book tickets and read synopsis here for this pantomime that I have designed and painted the poster and backdrop for. It's at the Canal Cafe Theatre in Little Venice. Follow link for more.
Having lived most of my life in Devon I have a passion for the local landscape, particularly Dartmoor, where I walk to find inspiration for my work.
I paint in acrylics, mostly on canvas, as I find the medium to be easily accessible with its quick drying time and ability to be thinned with water. I enjoy building thin layers of paint to retain a smooth surface and draw out the luminosity of the pigment.
Trees and rock formations, clouds, grasses and waves change and flow in the light and it is these elements of the Earth that I wish to celebrate in my paintings.
I am also drawn to dreams and stories and the faces and figures that I depict are to be found in the forms of the land as well as in the imaginations of myself and others.
I hope that I can continue to paint pictures that reflect at least some of the beauty and wonder of the world.
